Hello and welcome to my site.

I am a sport psychology postdoctoral researcher at Bangor University, North Wales. My area of research expertise, and the subject of my PhD, pertains to the motives for, and psychological consequences of, engaging in high-risk sports. I’ve published in world leading peer reviewed journals and I am privileged to be part of a research team that contains some of the leading researchers in the world on this topic.

As a pro mountain bike trials rider of 10 years I have performed stunt demonstrations, throughout the UK and Europe, for a number of high-profile clients. My first pro-contract was with “Europe’s No. 1 MTB trials display team”, the M.A.D. team, with whom I rode for 5 years.

Thereafter, I established and grew my own business - ADDO mountain bike display team – enabling me to incorporate some of my own ideas. In 2014, after developing the brand for five successful years, I took the decision to conclude my trials demo riding and sold my business to a competitor. Riding has taken me to various locations across the world and I’ve enjoyed a variety of magazineradioTVnewspaper and (short) film media appearances.

I continue to ride mountain bikes, both in the UK and further afield, and aim to continue the MTB coaching and guiding work I have enjoyed in the UK and Europe.
